About the play...

OUTSIDE THE BOX proudly presents our first official production as a new company, Lights and Music written by Patrick Cervantes Letterii, a student at Maryland University. Lights & Music; which tells the story of 4 young adults struggling with love, friendship and the absurdity of life in their small apartment microcosm; was workshopped in New York in December of 2006, and over the past few months Mr. Letterii has been working on revisions of the script in South Africa. With rapid-fire, intelligent dialogue that poses the eternal question, "Are the choices we're making, the right choices?"; the play caters to the plight of struggling "20 somethings" at a time in their lives where everything is uncertain, but decisiveness is paramount. Former student and Executive Producer, John MacDonald, sought the advice of independant producer/director Jeremy Quinn to help with the process of mounting the production and OUTSIDE THE BOX graciously accepted the offer to produce L&M as it's inaugural production.
